Also, idk if it was just me, but a lot of their characteristics felt contradictory. We didn’t get to really dive deep into their personalities enough which is such a shame. So when they kinda sorta confessed their “I love you’s” (wait did they? 🤔) I did a double take. That could partly be because they never once talked about anything besides business. Even with 5% remaining I couldn’t tell if they really liked each other or enjoyed the other’s company. There was very little romance in this book (as well as smut surprisingly). They had so much potential, but that wasn’t reached when they were together. There is supposed to be a sixth book in this series, which I will probably read and I can't wait to see what this author comes up with, because after the hero in the second book put his c0m in the heroine’s lotion I thought that nothing in this series will surprise me anymore.ĭespite the gorgeous cover, this one just didn’t have a similar feel as the others in the Monsters & Muses series.Īriana and Cash were both great characters.
